Red Lobster Biscuits, Bulletin Boards and Soccer

This past week I found a recipe for Red Lobster Biscuits on Pinterest. For my readers unfamiliar with Pinterest, it is a "pin" board where people post all kinds of super great ideas from decorating to food to fashion. Check it out sometime. At any rate, I don't think I have eaten at Red Lobster in about 4 years but I do remember how delicious their biscuits were. So I tried the recipe from Pinterest and found they were fabulous and recommend you try them. This is such an easy recipe you can bake these to go along with weeknight meals.

Red Lobster Biscuits

2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine biscuit mix, milk and cheddar cheese until well blended. Drop by tablespoons onto a baking sheet and bake 8 - 10 minutes. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in garlic powder and parsley. Brush onto rolls once out of the oven.

One of my fellow bloggers wrote a post about her refrigerator and all of the stuff she puts on it. She said she liked having her kids artwork, invitations to parties and other stuff on it. Her children are at an age where school work and papers fly into your house faster than dust. Many of her readers agreed. Other readers with stainless refrigerators commented that they missed being able to place such items on their refrigerator. Did you know that stainless refrigerators are not magnetic? This all got Sparkling to thinking. What do I do with all of my stuff? It turns out that I just traded spaces. Once we purchased our stainless refrigerator, I found a Pottery Barn bulletin board/calendar/mail sorter that is right by my back door. That is where I keep photos, invitations, business cards, notes and anything I just really like. I love passing by this treasure trove of fun stuff. I have found numerous people just standing in front of it and taking it all in. I guess it is a window into our life. What do you do with all of your "stuff"?

This past weekend was absolutely beautiful in my neck of the woods. Son 2 had a soccer tournament the WHOLE weekend so that is really all I have to report. The good news is that his team won the tournament so it made things really fun. Check him out in the green goalie jersey.

These biscuits will be on my Christmas brunch menu! I was just planning it a moment ago...shrimp over yellow grits, a ham and biscuits, something hot and fruity...actually, the food's the easy part. Trying to figure out how to schedule THREE families (now that my daughter has in-laws to consider) is the tricky part. But at least the biscuits are solved:):)

I have a stainless fridge, too, and two bulletin boards in the laundry room---but they're not cute like yours. I cleaned them off last week and found coupons and prescriptions from 2009!

You will not be disappointed withe these biscuits. I think they look pretty as well. Your schedule does sound hectic...ahhh the sound of Christmas.

I love that you found coupons from 2009. At least you had good intentions. I try very hard to keep mine cleaned off it just takes time.

The biscuits could be dangerous for me! And I love the bulletin board set up. Did you get that recently? Would they still have them? I could use one!

I think Pottery Barn always carries these type bulletin boards and you can custom make them.
